Flexi Bar is a live period converter for MT4. It generates an offline chart and lets you select any time frame, from a single second to weeks, with a single second resolution. So you can easily select not only charts with period of M10, H2 or H8, but you may have also 1-second, 5-second, M2, M90, actually any timeframe.
In addition, With the session switch on you can fix your timeframes to fit into trading sessions, like H4 starting with your broker session.
The quality of time display depends on a tick recording supply (ticks are recorded by all indicators from Omnia series).

What are additional features of Ovo offline generators?
- the generator is an indicator rather than a script or EA, which makes it more comfortable for deployment

great indicator, i try to use it on MT4 strategy tester, with visual mode enable. it seems the indicator is not work, it cannot load onto the chart. my MT4 is Oanda build 950.
is it possible to make it work on MT4 strategy tester visual mode? I believe may traders want this function.

Helo Simon, the indicator refuses the tester environment. It needs multiple timeframes for its work and also running on the test data would damage live tick recordings.

Great software for MT4! Especially when it comes to performance. Other similar software would always make MT4 sluggish during high volume trade periods.
However, I have a question…
When I make a 2 hour chart (7200 seconds) I notice that in EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDCAD the candles end on an even number (2pm, 4pm, 6pm etc.) But for the USDJPY the candles end on an odd number (1pm, 3pm, 5pm etc.)
Also When I make a 3 hour chart (10800 seconds) I notice that in EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY the candles end at 1, 4, 7 and 10 am/pm. But for USDCAD the candles end at 3, 6, 9 and 12 am/pm.
Is there anyway this can be changed? I’d like all my 2 hours and 3 hours charts to end at the same time.

The starting anchor is determined by the weekend gap (at least I hope so). Please check the H1 starting time of the week, where the charts start. There might be summer time change issues, which could mix the things up.
So as Joel asked, are we able to the change this, Im having the same thing on a 10 min chart, 10:05. 10:15 etc instead of 10:00, 10:10

Hello Perry, none of the offline chart generators is intended for SQ. I have in plans for the near future to release the FXT Builder for the Flexi, which could be used with the SQ. However I have no direct contact with them, so I do not promise it will be compatible for ever.
can u give six months license for flexibar and if so cost of the same which will be used for non commercial observation studies

If i open a 5 second chart using your flexi bar software, will it have data history or will it only start from the time ive opened the chart?. For example, say i open a 5 second chart at 1 pm on a wednesday, will i be able to see 6am data history of that same Wednesday and even going to Mondays data if i want?

If at least one of the indicators is running, then you would have tick data for that symbol recorded. In such case, any additional indicator for the symbol would use those tick data any time later.
If no ticks record is found for the time, then it linearly approximates the chart from MT4 natural timeframes.

Any way to make the bars to start at a time different from the broker?
My broker closes the daily bars at 10pm local time, I’d like them to close at 7pm local time.

Currently there is only option to start after the 30 minute gap with Session parameter set on.

I bought already the range bar indicator and I am very pleased with it. Now I need something which let me change the starting hour from my 4 hour candle.
Since the H4 candle my broker shows me because of the server time is not the NY Close H4 candle. Is there an indicator which let me create my own H4 candle with a selected start and end time?

I am sorry, only the session control can reset the starting time periodically.
What do you mean? Do you mean only the broker can change the starting time of the H4 candle?
I asked them already. They said I need a tool to create an offline chart and I need to set the starting time of the candle by myself…
I meant that the Session switch aligned the H4 (or any) with the session start, but there was no other timing option. The broker is right, but I did not encounter such a tool myself.

Hi Milan, I’m currently testing the indicator. However, offline chart creates bars that look like renko bars (with no wick at all). I compared the offline chart (h2 for example) with the h2 chart in the MT5 version of the same broker. The h2 chart in MT5 is much clearer and its bars have wicks. What seems to be the problem?

Technically it is not possible to go under a single second. Consider using the tick chart.
Does this indicator send ticks to the indicators loaded on it? I have an indicator that needs ticks to work, I have already tried a couple of free solution and they don´t sent ticks to the offline charts. Regards
If you want to be sure, you should install it and use it within the trial period. Unfortunately all the indicators attached to the offline chart react with both the tick and refresh events (unlike EAs), and trigger the OnTick handler twice.
Installed as per video, simple enough. Works well has nice features…However some indicators are not working on unique time frame. I have some free period converts and they dont have this issue, i thought your product would be better, run lower on cpu and allow EA and other indicators to work, now this issue, how can i communicate or share the indicator?

I know this was stated years ago but as far as I can tell it was not addressed. When using Flexi Bars, the candles open at different times. For example, when I make a 6hr chart for GBPNZD, the bars times are 02:00, 08:00, 14:00, and 20:00.
However, when making a 6hr chart for EURGBP, the bar times are 04:00, 10:00, 16:00, and 22:00.
Is there a way to get all of the currency pairs to end at the same time?

Hello, How can I fix the delay on a 5 second or 1 second chart? For example on a 5 second chart, the timer counts down to 0 so a candle or mark should show but it doesn’t. and then when it catches up the next timer may say 2 seconds then a candle shows. And on the 1 second its like it freezes up.
Hello DJ, when there is no tick, the candles won’t appear, it is the standard behaviour of candlestick charts.
can I use this indicator with Trade Assistant MT4 ?
I would expect that you could, trading fuctions from the offline charts are allowed.

A real shame there is not MT5 version MT4 is prehistoric
So is MT5, and it still it does not support custom charts like MT4. I cannot code such comfort custom charts there.

When there is an unusual gap, turn on the verbose option in inputs to check the consistency of your local charts.

I am mid-senior fx trader and recently stumbled upon your product, – remarkable work.!
I am considering purchasing your flexi chart module.
long story short, – i am unable to consistently recreate bars that look exactly as the original MT4 period converted does. My system is calibrated and back tested on such.
The reason of my inquiry is that i seem to not be able to make flexi chart work properly. It does spawn the requited candles, but they seem to differ quite a lot form the standard offline chart derived out of default period convertor i am currently using.
I am currently developing my own terminal solution in c sharp and i have encountered the same exact problem whilst composing new data points.
I suspect that flexi chart struggles to find the original anchor point to start the arrays while using odd numbers. I
My goal is to run 45M, 135M, 405M, 1215M.
-further constrains are, run as little displayed numbers on the chart as possible for I run heavy recurrent calculations and that as we know does not run well on single core solution. I aim at 300-500 max bars.
I fiddled with flexi bars settings and spend hours trying to get the right results. – no success. its always off by some amount. I also tried to fiddle with max bars in history and displayed, that of course had an effect, – yet did not find the right solution.
If you investigated how it behaves around 135,405 and 1215 compared to normal offline chart and gave me some input, i would much appreciate.
