Bring The Tick Data to Your Testing
FXT Builder is a bunch of scripts, which generate high precision testing data for non-standard charts. With a tick data on input it creates non-standard chart in the tester format, and allows testing strategies on those charts. A very simple settings lets the user choose basic test chart options. The chart is precise and eliminates virtual trades on price gaps. The script can be used as a standalone tool when a fixed-spread data is satisfactory, but it also has an option for variable spread format for use with Birt’s Data Suite launcher. The enhanced tools are available for registered Omnia series users for free up to the chart length of 10 thousands candles (unregistered users up to 2 thousand candles). Limit are completely removed with a commercial license key.

Hello, fxt history data only give 25% quality loaded csv data
Then you did something wrong, check if you have the “every tick” option set. The Strategy Tester report should read “n/a” in the model quality field.
The script do not open the DAX (GER30, DE30) index csv file. How to use Mean Renko FXT Builder with DAX tick data?

MT4 Strategy Tester cannot handle variable spread on its own. Some softs claim that they can temper the executable, in this particular case TDS ver. 1 software. Though I do not have any relation to this software, the script inserts the ask quotes to the FXT file in the way TDS can use it, so those who own TDS (ver. 1 !) may use the variable spread option with this chart.

The mean renko fxt doesnt work with all the mt4 i installed them on. It didnt even open whether from the indicator folder or expert adverser folder
It’s a script. Drag it to the regular chart (not the Mean Renko offine chart)
Hi Milan, I’m using MT4 build 1090. It seems to work fine however after a few runs I get: <> then I have to login back to broker account and restart the process. Any ideas??
Hello Jorge, could you specify what “a few runs” means? I. e, is it running the test or the script? The script should always start from the broker’s account, it looks for the symbol data, which is filled into the FXT file instead of user manual inputs. After restarting into the disconnected test mode, those fxt charts for M1, M5, M15 etc should last until you delete them in explorer or rewrite them by a next script run.
Hi, I’ve been using OVO’s Mean Renko Bars and Mean Renko FXT Builder for quite some time.
When should the option “Reallocate Open Prices” be used? To replicate the Mean Renko Bars, that option should be disabled, correct?
I understand that we can’t use Open Bars when backtesting because open prices are simulated on Mean Renko… but does that option changes anything?

There is no difference in the ticks history, both options receive exactly the same quotes within the (same) candle. And yes, the default (relocate) option should be preferred unless you have a particular EA, which is sensitive to the candle open price.

I figured it out… when exporting to file from Tickstory my date was wrong.

Hi, is there any difference betwenn FXT Builder and if i do backtesting using OfflineTestHelper Script?
Yes, there are basic differences. OfflineTestHelper takes the current chart, copies it to M1 and disconnects from the current broker to prevent its refreshing. The Strategy Tester uses this chart, but the ticks are generated by the built-in algorithm as with any other M1. Many chart like Renko use artificial open/close values, so the price evolution may be very unreal in the tester.
The FXT builder requires an external data tick file. Then it creates a tick-based chart for Strategy Tester, which is independent on the MT4 broker data. During testing the chart evolves tick by tick and does not allow the built-in tick simulator algorithm to interfere.
