Tick chart keeps constant number of ticks (aka volume according to the MT4 vocabulary) per bar. The bars plot faster during high volatility periods and slower during low trading activity, in which way they resemble range bars. On the other hand they do not hide high volume price movement in a narrow range.

What are additional features of Ovo offline generators?

Yes, it is possible to show the percentage, it is just a current volume compared to the max volume.
The tick-dowm counter is integrated into the OmniaRemote indicator.

Unfortunately I did not create any FXT script for this type so far. And testing with the Offline Test Helper script has no performance fidelity, it only helps to verify the mechanics of the EA..
I was gonna ask something similar. I have been using FXBlue trading simulator (it is an EA that uses MT4 backtester engine), and I was wondering if your tick chart is gonna work there. I have downloaded high quality tick data from dukascopy and converted to MT4 format. If your tick chart works, then it will be possible to create good tick chart historical data, correct? I wanted to be able to see at least 3 years of tick chart data.
Hello Alberto, this indicator cannot work in the tester, as in the tester it has no access to other timeframes of the symbol.
Hi there my friend. I see, but the simulator generates offline charts in all timeframes if you want, that keep in sync with the main simulation timeframe. Isn´t just a matter of opening a M1 offline chart generated by the simulator, and then loading your indicator on it? Does your tick chart generator only start working when we launch it, or it plots historical data too?
I wanted to be able to go far back in time and study the tick charts and the indicators loaded on it…

Hi there Milan. Yes, but the simulator generates offline charts (1M, 5M, 15M etc..) they keep updating in sync with the main simulation. Wouldn´t the tick chart generator work on those charts?
When we load your tick chart generator on a regular live chart, does it print how much history? Or it only starts printing the tick chart when it´s loaded? I have one tick chart generator here that I need to leave the whole night running if I wanna have something to work with. If I turn MT4 then it is all gone, it does not save history (nor loads on history).
I ended up downloading the demo, didn´t wanna do it cause I didn´t wanna waste demo period, but I can see you can choose how long the history you want, that is good. Also, It is working in the simulator, not in the main chart of the backtester, but on the offline charts generated by it. Only problem is that I can´t go maximum speed or MT4 freezes.
Being able to use it in high speed and see the chart building I noticed that sometimes it repaints, is that normal? More than a couple of times I saw the last 8 or 10 bars disappear and then form another configuration or a longer bar.
Also, there are some indicators that are not plotting historically, only from the moment you load them on the tick chart, whereas on the time based chart it loads historically. I would like to send you the indicator so you can have a look at it. it is a buying/selling pressure indicator kind works like the delta.

Can 10 years of 10 tick data be used as an offline tester?
Currently no, unfortunately.
A feature you could implement in this indi is adding the possibility of telling the time interval for plotting. For example, trading futures, I like to see only the daily session, so the chart would start 9:30 eastern time and finish at 16:15.
It there FXT Builted for Tick Chart? I would like to generate MT4 chart using TDS Tick Data for longer period. How can I do it for tick chart?

what I expect is a time independent tick chart with x-ticks per bar or candle and these indicators onto the tick chart:
1. MACD, BB, ADR : attention for ADR-7-days; it is the average of the daily range values of the LAST 7 days used for today and calculated from daily chart;
2. are coloured x-tick-chart candles possible?
– green candles or bars, if MACD is >0 and >macd-signal-value,
– red ones for MACD <0 and <macd-signal-value
– gray candles for all others
3. is it possible to use it in MT5
4. after purchasing do I have update possibilities for debuged versions?
5. can I do a bank transfer directly to you?

+10000 for the post above, I too would like to see the tick chart generator for MT5. Is this planned or will never happen?
Well, it is planned. However I am very hesitating, as far as the functionality cannot be the same as in MT4. I mean – MT5 adds functionality for a custom symbol rather than a custom timeframe. This makes things very confusing for the trtader, as he cannot deploy trading EA or trade directly from such chart.

I’ m testing tick chart. I’m satisfied and I would like to take it, but I have a problem that I have not well identified. after a certain number of bars it resets and restarts. why? I think I have set the indicator correctly, but it always happens. is the trial version that has these limitations? if yes … I immediately sign the license.

The generator restarts calculation when conditions change, either caused by your activity (you changed the chart parameters) or by the feed quality change (some timeframe fetched missing candles or the tick feed dropped out for a while). There is no difference between the licensed and trial versions.
There is no vai to collect previuos calculation and ensamble them? I work whit SP500 by IG, and i want to collect 30-50 tick each bar but sometimes the graph is reset randomy (i think due for the data feed is quite no good. I like this application .

When i put the indicator on chart and force to have 4 digits instead of five digits, there is a problem of repaint bars. Can you please clarify me ?
The feed is 5 digits, but i prefer see the market without the “pipettes”

The ticks are rounded to the nearest level, so there may be different distance between the ticks, both higher or lower.

jeden rychlý dotaz, k čemu přesně slouží to tlačícko SESS. Vyzkoušel jsem a zjistil jsem, že se jednotlivé svíce po zapnutí vykreslují jinak.
Je lepší mít to vypnuté nebo zapnuté (co více odpovídá realitě, kterou vidí i ostatní tradeři).

I have previously bought the tick bar indicator. I am using it all day long. Is it possible to assign a shortcut / hotkey to the tick chart value, instead of clicking with a mouse to double or half the amounts of ticks?

You can assign shorcuts to start a script in MT4. So you may send the Omnia commands listed in the “Developers Corner” from such a script.

I’m intrested in buying a couple of your scripts for mt4 like the tick chart generator but i was wondering if your tick chart generator is compatible with most comercial EA’s? i know for sure that on mtt5 it won’t work because it cant read custom symbols.
