So far, the charts enabled a freehand drag scrolling, regardless of the Auto Scroll switch position. Setting the switch on would force the chart to update its position on every tick, though the chart was still capable of freehand scrolling.

Currently, since publishing the unofficial build 783 to Metaquotes users, setting the switch to on would dock the chart to the up-to-date position, disabling any freehand scrolling.
It is not a big change, but when you get annoyed with the new behaviour, you may try attaching this indicator to the chart. With the indicator you may completely forget about that icon existence.

Note. You do not need it when using the Sync Scroll indicator, which embeds it.

Update with build 787

In MT4 build 787 the original behaviour is back.

Still you may find the AutoLock indicator useful, if you do not like the instant scrolling forward with every new tick. With the indicator, the chart gets unlocked when scrolled out of its rightmost position by the mouse, and vice versa.
